Introduction


Sodium Polyglutamate is a water-soluble high-molecular-weight polymer produced by microbial fermentation. Its basic structure consists of glutamic acid linked by amide bonds. The molecular weight typically ranges from 100,000 to 1,000,000 Daltons. PGA contains a large number of intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds, providing excellent moisturizing properties. It is often used in combination with HA. PGA can effectively extend the action time of Sodium Hyaluronate (HA), reduce HA's tacky feel, and leave the skin feeling naturally smooth.

PGA-HMW offers a very smooth skin feel, silky and moist, effectively reducing the tackiness of hyaluronic acid.

 Moisturizing & Brightening, Synergistic Effect with HA

PGA-LMW can inhibit the activity of HA-degrading enzymes in the skin, improve the stability of HA in the skin, and increase HA content.

PGA-LMW also has the effect of inhibiting tyrosinase activity, providing a gentle brightening effect.

 Increase Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) Content in Skin

PGA-Oligo has a lower molecular weight (<10kDa), allowing higher skin penetration for plump and hydrated skin.

PGA-Oligo can increase the NMF content in the stratum corneum, thereby enhancing the skin's water-binding capacity.
